FB Air Transfer Vent
Firebreather Air Transfer Vent design is easily adapted as the element can be inserted into most air transfer grille applications for boundless number of sizes and designs. Vent assemblies fit in walls, floors, shafts and fire rated doors. With FB Air Transfer Vent assemblies in place, there will be no flame penetration or no leaking of hot gases at the protected side of the assembly, instantly and throughout the fire rating period.

FB Cavity Vent
Firebreather Cavity Vent applications are for vented fire barriers in voids or cavities behind the cladding on façades or inside fire rated walls and floors. They provide ample ventilation of construction yet instantly prevent fire from spreading. These are the only products available for uncompromising fire safe venting of voids and cavities in construction.

FB Eave Vent
Firebreather Eave Vent FB vents are installed in soffit of roof eaves to prevent spread of leap frog fires, facade fires or wind driven embers into attic or cavities. The conventional optimum way to provide ventilation of attics is by gaps regularly spaced in the soffit. Today, either FB Eave Vents or the FB Cavity Vent can protect these openings. Open or boxed in eave construction thus becomes a vented fire resistance rated construction while allowing the optimum location of vent openings for the attic.

FB Facade Vent
Firebreather Facade Vent provides venting of fire rated apartments walls facing outdoor exits like access balconies. It also provides venting of fire rated walls facing opposing close walls or walls in corners - andventing of fire rated gable walls.

How does it work?
- Standard vent, installed wherever air transfer is required in fire rated construction
- Fully passive, no moving parts, no detector activating system, long lifespan
- Firebreather® vents combine principles of intumescent sealing (expanding endotermic material, blocking vent at specific temperature), heat sink, quenching gap and thermal breaks
- Firebreather® (FB) vents ensure no flame penetration. No ignition will be possible at the unexposed side from the first millisecond throughout the fire rating period.
- The vent design maximizes convective heat transfer by hot gases to solid surfaces. As hot gases are cooled, intumescent material is heated accordingly. Solid components act as secondary heat sinks efficiently cooling the smoke temperature below ignition temperatures of typical fuels until intumescent sealing is completed. Insulating parts and air gaps are carefully designed for thermal break performance.
